'Bride Hard' Star Anna Camp Claps Back About 18-Year Age Gap with Younger Girlfriend

There may be an 18-year age gap between "Pitch Perfect" star Anna Camp, 42, and her 24-year-old girlfriend, Jade Whipkey, but Camp made no bones that there's no love gap in their perfect match.

The couple appeared together at a red carpet premiere event for Camp's new movie, "Bride Hard." When queer outlet Pink News posted to Instagram about the relationship, Entertainment Weekly reports, Camp added her own thoughts to the online debate that ensued.

In response to comments like, "It's giving mother daughter," "That kind of age difference in any relationship makes me very uncomfortable," and "What could they possibly have in common?" Camp stated:

Thought I'd jump on here since I follow @pinknews and just say I've dated men exactly my age and Jade is FAR more mature than any of them.

We have more in common than anyone else I've ever dated and can literally talk about anything and everything ♥️

Camp went on to add: "Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'm wishing everyone well :) Especially this Pride month 🌈".

At her own Instagram page, Camp gave kudos to Whipkey, posting, "Thankyou @rebelwilson for being my bride or die and to my girlfriend @jadewhipkey for being my date and for making me glow 💘💘💘".

"The 'You' actress' comments about her relationship with the 24-year-old came nearly a month after the couple confirmed their romance back in May," noted E! News, before quoting from an Instagram Stories that Whipkey put up on May 13 praising Camp with lyrical language.

"Her smile is a poem/Her eyes are roses/Her laugh is music for dancing," Whipkey wrote in her paean, Entertainment Weekly detailed.

In another Instagram post, Whipkey captioned a photo of herself with Camp with the message, "You are the easiest person to celebrate and the sweetest to love ❤️".

"Camp and Whipkey, an on-set stylist, sparked romance rumors earlier this year after they started interacting with each other's Instagram posts as early as February," People Magazine recalled.

"Prior to walking the red carpet together at 'Bride Hard''s premiere, the couple were photographed showing off some PDA together in Los Angeles on May 13," the outlet went on to say.

E! News detailed that Camp, "who finalized her divorce from Pitch Perfect costar Skylar Astin in 2019 after less than two years of marriage," "gave her followers a glimpse into a romantic meal they shared over a glass of wine, adding the simple caption, 'Date night.'"
