'Yeah, I Don't Think So' – Patti LuPone Shoots Down 'AHS' Return

Chalk up another diva who says she won't be headed back to "American Horror Story" for a 13th, and possibly final, season.
"During an interview with Gold Derby, the reporter asked LuPone if she would return to American Horror Story, adding that creator Ryan Murphy wanted 'to bring the group back together for Season 13,'" Deadline relayed.
LuPone asked, "What group is that, though?" to which the reply was, "really, really cool people."
Being part of the cool crowd didn't seem to impress the Broadway icon, who hardly needs to prove her coolness creds in any case. "Yeah, I don't think so," LuPone said. Anyway, she added, "I think he was probably talking about the guys."
Lupone's dismissal of a return to the long-running horror anthology comes in the wake of Jessica Lange's similarly no-nonsense rejection of the idea.
Lange was among the first troupe of actors to revisit "American Horror Story" year after year, starring in a total of five seasons, but the frequent Ryan Murphy collaborator recently said she's done with the FX show. Asked if there were plans to include her in the upcoming season, Lange underscored just how much she's not returning, letting loose with: "Oh, Christ, no!"
Lange's response burst forth "during a recent interview with Irish radio station SPIN 1038 while promoting her new movie 'Long Day's Journey Into Night,'" 1428 Elm reported.
LuPone's involvement with "AHS" isn't as extensive as Lange's; she only starred in two of the 12 seasons that have already been produced. Like Lange, though, LuPone has collaborated with prolific out creator Ryan Murphy on a number of other projects; Deadline cited her roles on "Glee" and "Pose," as well as on Murphy's alt-history take on Tinseltown, "Hollywood," on Netflix.
