2024 Rewind: Hot IG Pic Shows Why We Are So Fond of Orville Peck
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
This piece is part of EDGE's 2024 Rewind series. We're reaching into our archives and sharing some of our favorite stories from the past year.
Orville Peck is revealing more and more of himself these days. The out country singer has been masking his face since he broke out to stardom five years ago with his first album "Pony," a huge amount of media attention, and a hot look in which he never shows his face.
Peck's great love for old school country led him to his latest collaboration – a cover version of Ned Sublette's "Cowboys Are Frequently, Secretly Fond of Each Other" with country musician Willie Nelson as the lead single from Stampede: Vol. 1, Peck's upcoming duets album. "Cowboys are Frequently...." was released in 1981 by Ned Sublette and is considered the gay cowboy anthem. Nelson had previously released his own version in 2006.
To celebrate the release of the single, the 36-year-old Peck took to Instagram Stories and posted what might be his most revealing photo to date. He still is wearing a mask, but it only over his eyes, so his good-looking features are in full view. He appears to be standing shirtless in a hallway with his shoulders back, a huge grin on his face, and his buff chest covered in tattoos.
He is currently on an extended "Stampede" tour that is taking him to cities throughout North America through October. (Click here for tour dates.) Post-tour, Peck heads to the remote desert locale of Pioneertown, CA where he is hosting his fifth annual rodeo on November 10, 11, and 12. (Click here for rodeo information.)
