Marjorie Taylor Green Says 'NO' to LGBTQ Equality

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the QAnon-supporting Georgia Republican, is saying "NO" to LGBTQ equality, the New York Daily News reports.

In a tweet, Greene suggests without any evidence that the Equality Act, which the House will vote on by the end of the week, is really about "attacking God & believers."

Greene first dog whistles her followers on transgender issues, as if doctors should have the right to deny mastectomies to anyone with breasts who doesn't identify as a woman:

"If you perform a mastectomy in the case of breast cancer, you will have to perform one on the teenage girl identifying as a boy. All in the name of equality..."

Greene then fear-mongers with a reference to abortion, which isn't addressed in the Equality Act, saying it will bind the hands of doctors:

"The act treats any refusal to offer abortion as "pregnancy discrimination.'"

Calling the Act "DISGUSTING, IMMORAL, AND EVIL," Greene – who was seen in a video groping a cardboard cutout of Donald Trump – declares she will be "VOTING NO" and claims the Act "has nothing to do with stopping discrimination against the LGBT community" but is ultimately an attack on the faithful.

The Trump-supporting Republican apparently did not hold the view of the 45th President, who claimed time and again he would be an ally of the LGBTQ community while his administration rolled back rights and protections. Green has been a much more vocal opponent of the LGBTQ community, once referring to the Pride flag as the "Hate America" flag.

More recently, Greene – who hawks conspiracy theories that the 9/11 attacks on New York City and mass school shootings were staged – was booted from her committees after comments online surfaced about assassinating Democratic Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.
