Broadway Lights and Disco Nights starring Peter Fernandez takes place at Stage 954 at the Casino at Dania Beach starting at 9pm. Broadway Lights and Disco Nights is a variety show of musicals throughout the decades. This show, which features a total of 10 musicians on stage and talented backup singers, will be the first to combine the best of live musical theater, including some of the all-time favorite classics as well as some of the current shows now running on Broadway. Cinema Paradiso Fort Lauderdale (503 SE 6 Street) presents a panel discussion with three South Florida Holocaust survivors at a screening of Son Of Saul at 1pm. The critically acclaimed, Oscar nominated film is about a Hungarian member of the Sonderkommando, the group of Jewish prisoners isolated from the other inmates and forced to assist the Nazis in the machinery of large-scale extermination. The discussion will be followed by a reception and book signing of the biography, The Fifth Diamond, which tells the personal story of Irene Zisblatt, one of the special guest speakers.
