Return to Form: Cruz Introduces 2 New Anti-Gay Legislations

Just days after Sen. Ted Cruz said "If one of my daughters was gay, I would love them just as much," at an event hosted in Manhattan by two prominent gay hoteliers, the 2016 GOP presidential hopeful introduced two pieces of anti-gay legislation to congress.
Cruz filed two bills to protect states with marriage bans currently on the books, Bloomberg reports.
Cruz's legislation would establish a constitutional amendment shielding states that define marriage as between one woman and one man from legal action, according to bill language obtained by Bloomberg News.
A second bill would bar federal courts from further weighing in on the marriage issue until such an amendment is adopted.
The hosting of the anti-gay pol with a dismal 20 percent rating from the Human Rights Campaign has spurred a boycott against properties owned by gay hotelier Ian Reisner including the OUT hotel and BPM nightclub as well as his recently acquired properties that make up 80 percent of the commercial landscape in gay resort mecca Fire Island Pines.
