PopUps: Taylor Swift Lauds Fan For Grindr Promotion

Taylor Swift's fifth studio album "1989" is out on Oct. 27 and its expected that it will be the first record of 2014 to go platinum. And while she probably doesn't need any help in the marketing department, that's not stopping one fan from promoting the album anywhere he can - including Grindr of all places.

Swift got wind that one fan named Jay, who posts on Tumblr under the handle ughstory, posted a screen cap of a Grindr conversation he had to his account and flipped her shit.

"Yo ur hot what's up," a guy wrote to Jay, adding the sinisterly seductive purple emoji with the devil horns.

The reply?

"Taylor Swift's sales. #Preorder1989oniTunes."

In his post, Jay added, "Honestly why I'm single..."

Once Tay Tay saw the post on Oct. 17, she reblogged it, adding: "CANT STOP LAUGHING. I will be applauding you for decades to come for this. #Priorities"

The post earned 22,368 likes and reblogs.

The "Shake It Off" singer made headlines Wednesday after one of her tracks mistakenly went live on iTunes in Canada. Although it was just eight seconds of white noise, enough fans forked over $1.25 for the "song," simply titled "Track 3," to shoot to the no. 1 spot on iTunes.
