Matinée NYC's Non-Stop New Year!
JC Alvarez READ TIME: 4 MIN.
Wherever you choose to ring in the New Year - watching the ball drop in the heart of Times Square or cozying it up with friends at a house party, (it is after all very important to make that moment the clock strikes 12 a memorable one) - be sure to get yourself plenty of rest, at least in time for New Year's Day...'cause that's when the real party is expected to begin.
The party architects at Matine NYC are finely tuning the details of what is sure to be an event worthy of starting 2012 in proper festive fashion. Take it from me, if you make any New Year's resolution this year promise yourself you'll grab a ticket and catch a matinee - a Matine NY event that is!
"We didn't want to market our event as an 'after-hours'," Matine event producer Jake Resnicow told us. "It's really unique that it falls on a Sunday - and on the first night of the New Year. Everybody has the next day off." Taking advantage of the "national holiday" the team of Resnicow and Patrick Crough and the rest of their Matine NYC production team are again preparing that signature "WOW!" factor that makes their events so unique.
Midtown Manhattan's site du jour District 36 is proving itself a landmark spot, once again hosting a Matine New York Festival...this one the first one of the new year is 12 hours of non-stop action, January 1 8pm to 8am Monday morning.
"It's going to be fresh, light and fun." Crough added. "Nothing too heavy." With most of the other weekend parties having such dramatic near-apocalyptic themes, the gentlemen at Matine NYC wanted to keep these fun and celebratory.
One Hot Pleasure...
The one ingredient that is sure to be explosive is the guest performance by none other than sex-pop-goddess Erika Jayne. "She performed at our Las Vegas Festival." Resnicow is referring to their very successful 5-day music festival in July that took over Sin City. "Erika came on at 4am and it was one of the most talked about performances of the whole weekend." Known for her not-so-subtle antics, Jayne is sure to inspire the crowd with her latest hit "Party People (Ignite the World)."
A popular fixture with the gay-boy party circuit, Erika Jayne is readying the troops, including top celebrity choreographer and artistic director Mikey Minden to bring her "A" game to NYC on NYD. "I really felt that in Vegas she did things really differently for us," Crough expressed, "and I expect that she'll be just as incredible this time around."
Never one to disappoint a crowd, Erika Jayne is one hot pleasure that must be experienced to be believed. No doubt, the pop-star's ultra-sexy appeal will inspire the crowd to new levels of excitement.
12 Hours Non-Stop...
Also prepping to start their own fires are DJs Hector Fonseca, Javier Medina and Eddie Elias who will battle it out to raise your heart rate and temper the heat with their turntable skills. You can always count on Resnicow and Crough to pull in the top tier, in-demand DJ talent for their events. Since this is the beginning of the rest of the year, Matine NYC isn't stopping there - expect some additional performances and plenty of eye-candy to excite the senses.
This Matine NYC Festival on New Year's Day will set the stage for more surprises into the season and beyond. "A lot of people are going to party out on New Year's Eve with their friends or go to house parties...this way you can sleep in New Year's Day and once you realize the world hasn't blown up, come out and party with on New Year's Night. Kick it off with a bang!"
So while the amateurs recover from their festivities on New Year's Eve you can catch a matine with the rest of the hottest and sweatiest dance floor revelers the city has to offer - courtesy of Matine NYC.
