A Fusion of Fashion and Food Hits Chicago Summer

CHICAGO - Diners meet designers at a new summer series located at WAVE, 644 N. Lake Shore Drive. WAVE and LeftofTrend, a newly launched e-shopping /social networking platform, have teamed up for the Taste & Trend Summer Series, held on alternating Thursdays, with the next one on Thursday, June 23, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The evening will feature items hand selected by the owner of Fix Boutique. Brands curated include Black Halo and Pencey for women, Steven Alan and Converse by John Varvatos for men, Tessa Kate and Raen Optics for accessories, plus much more.

LeftofTrend.com is a new, fashion-oriented ecommerce/social networking web site focused on providing a platform for shoppers to discover new and emerging clothing and accessory lines at exclusive discounts up to 70% off. The site also provides a social shopping experience, allowing shoppers to interact with their friends online while they browse.

Showcasing seasonal fashions for men and women, Taste & Trend will welcome various emerging local designers from LeftofTrend, including June features: Nora del Busto, architecturally-inspired cocktail dress designer, and Kristin Hassan, maker of sassy, ultra-feminine women's apparel.

Additionally, guests will enjoy two seasonal beverages from a special bar menu and delicious, hearty bites from WAVE's new RUSH HOUR offering.
