"RuPaul's Drag Race" star Chi Chi DeVayne has died, Entertainment Weekly reports. She was 34.

News of her death on Thursday comes not long after it was reported she was hospitalized with pneumonia last week and a number of fellow "Drag Race" stars wished her well. She also was in the hospital with kidney failure in July.

"Keep me in your prayers. I'll be back soon," she said in a video message from Saturday, which showed her in a hospital bed.

Chi Chi - her real name Zavion Davenport - appeared on "Drag Race" Season 8 where she placed fourth and "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" Season 3 where she came in eighth place. More recently, she appeared in an episode of Apple TV+'s acclaimed series "Little America."

Born in Shreveport, Lousiana, Chi Chi was a "Drag Race" fan favorite, known for her lip syncing talents, fierce dance moves and outfits that she made herself.
