Channing Tatum is the latest celebrity to address the backlash comedian Dave Chappelle received from his Netflix comedy special, "The Closer."

Netflix employees are reportedly planning a walkout on Oct. 20 over the company's response to the comedian's special, where he made comments many perceived as transphobic.

Tatum, however, subtlety added his opinion to the mix with a statement posted to his Instagram stories, CNN reported.

Reposting a 2019 clip of Chappelle accepting the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, Tatum added his own statement, saying: "I understand that Dave is a very dangerous person to talk about at the moment. ... I understand and hate that he has hurt so many people with things he has said."

He added, "Any human can hurt someone (usually cause they're hurt) but any human can heal and heal others just the same," Tatum wrote. "This little piece healed me back in the day. I can't forget that."
