A new short clip from the Elton John biopic "Rocketman" is cause for celebration.

Paramount released a 48-second video called "Wild Ride Clip" which features stars Taron Egerton, who plays the pop icon, and Richard Madden, who plays John's lover and manager John Reid. In the clip, the men share a drink and look deeply into each other's eyes. Unfortunately, there's no kissing but it's still a tender moment.

Egerton recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about filming gay sex scenes for "Rocketman."

"For me, kissing a man onscreen is no less appealing than kissing a woman onscreen," he explained. "I'm not in any way repulsed by the male form. It's an uncomfortable thing regardless of who you're with — it makes no difference as to your sexual preference."

He also talked about being straight and playing a gay person.

"I have spoken to gay people for whom it's not a problem, and I've spoken to gay people for whom it is a problem. I completely understand," Egerton said. "But for my part, I'm an actor, and I did not get into acting to just play people like me. You have to draw the line somewhere, and I don't want to live in a world where straight people play straight people and gay people play gay people."

Madden also talked about playing gay characters in an interview with The Guardian, saying "It's a really terrible route to go down if we start restricting people's casting based on their personal lives. We have to focus more on diversity and having everyone represented, but I'm also a firm believer in the best actor for the part."
