Arrow - Season Three

Though he's never had the sheer name recognition of, say, Clark Kent or Bruce Wayne, since the launch of The CW hit show Oliver Queen (the alter-ego of the DC Comics character the Green Arrow) has proven as complicated and fascinating as his contemporaries. In "Arrow" - The Complete Third Season, available now on Blu-ray and Digital HD and starring Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer, Oliver is taking on more than just the bad guys threatening Starling City - he's facing an immortal evil that is looking to make him his heir.

Oliver has had more than a city to defend. His mission has taken him - and his friends and family - on a dangerous trajectory. Now the threat level has increased to new levels or "metahuman" proportions, and Oliver must reach across the table to bring "Team Arrow" into the new millennium, but what secrets from his past is Queen still hiding? What connection does Queen have to the subversive organization called A.R.G.U.S. and its director Amanda Waller?

At the start of the third season, one of the Arrow's closest allies is dispatched by one of his most dangerous adversaries, setting Oliver on an path for revenge that will cost him more than he may be ready to commit. The arrival of industrialist Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) opens the door to a corporate takeover of Oliver's family business, as well as a love triangle, with the heart of Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) to be won by the highest bidder.

In order to save Starling City, Oliver may have to renounce being its defender, but when push comes to shove Team Arrow - with the addition of some powerful new friends including Arsenal, the Atom, Katana and Central City's the Flash - faces its greatest challenge in the merciless of Ra's Al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable). Here is an enemy that is relentlessly set on destroying everything that Oliver holds dear without a thought or cost.

Starling City may have to far more to face when a bargain is struck between Merlyn (John Barrowman) and the League of Assassins, all the while Laurel (Katie Cassidy) seeks the help of a former vigilante turned boxer determined to inherit the mantle of Black Canary. Season Three of "Arrow" also features crossovers with "The Flash," and paves the way for the next superhero evolution, when next winter's legends finally come together.

The 4-disc set features all Third Season episodes and bonus features that go behind-the-scenes and on the set of "Arrow." A special sneak peek at Team Arrow's latest new member "The Atom" reveals what it took to make audiences believe that Brandon Routh could fly (again) as the heroic Ray Palmer. Additional bonus content includes video from the cast as they appeared at Comic-Con 2014, deleted scenes and a classic gag reel.
